Ribeauvillé‘s 3 castles
Perched on the heights of Ribeauvillé since the 14th Century, Saint Ulrich, Ribeaupierre and Girsberg Castles have witnessed Alsace through the Middle Age.
You can travel back in time of the Rapelstein Lords while enjoying one of many hikes starting from Ribeauvillé.
Please note that all 3 castles are only accessible on foot. Please remember to respect the natural environment and dispose of waste properly.
Alsace’s Wine Road
The most famous Wine Route winds through both of Alsace departments, Haut-Rhin and Bas-Rhin for over 170 km, crossing the entire wine region from Thann (68) to Marleneheim (67) and was established by the Tourist Office in 1953 for a car rally.
The wine route can hold high it's name of oldest wine road in France and will with no doubt please all white wine amateurs (it's emblem) meeting with no less than 300 winery domaines. Enjoy the tasting.

Pour vous faire votre propre idée, rien de mieux de que faire une pause au caveau de dégustation du Domaine Bott Frères : ouvert tous les jours 9h00 à 12h00 et de 14h00 à 18h00, sauf les 25 et 26 décembre, le 1er janvier et les dimanches de janvier, février et mars.
Jean Sipp Cellar
Jean-Jacques SIPP, a wine-grower since 1973, works on the development of the Domaine along with his wife Martine and son Jean-Guillaume to built its reputation on practices that respect the grape, close to organic methods, that are the basis of the quality of his wines.
Find out the Domaine and taste the wines at the Cellar Monday to Friday from 8 to 11.45 am and from 2 to 6.30 pm- Saturday from 9.30 am to 12.00 and from 2 to 6 pm
Sunday from 10 am to 12.00 and by appointment, closed in the afternoon.
Closed on Sundays from January to April , on 25&26 December and 1st January.
Le marché de Noël de Ribeauvillé
Thanks to its authentic and medieval character and attracted no less than 20 000 visitors in 2012 ! Discover Ribeauvillé's Christmas market and plunge into the Middle Age where the Three Kings, Fire Magicians and the scents of mulled wine meet...but don't forget Father Christmas and his Elves.
The Pfifferday (fiddlers’ festival)
The Legend tells that a Lord of Ribeaupierre gave a minstrel a coin because his instrument was broken. To thank him for his generosity the Minstrels chose this family to become their Suzerains.
Started in the 14th century, The Pfifferdaj is the oldest Festival in Alsace.
Real historical procession, The Pfifferdaj has preserved through the centuries the costumes, traditions and the colors of the past.
Two months prior to the parade, about 1500 people are dedicated to the building of the Floats, the makings of costumes ...awaited by 20 000 spectators who, year by year come to reward the work of all the volunteers.
Every year this event takes place on the first weekend of September.
BEAUVILLE : a collection of table linens
For over two centuries Beauvillé has been the ultimate for tablecloths and household linens printing. Produced in Ribeauvillé, you will find Beauvillé's finest cloth of the highest quality in embassies , the finest restaurants among those who appreciate beautiful materials but also outside of France, in Europe, the United States, Japan, Russia...
To this day Beauvillé's still produces in France and has been labeled “Made in France” and more proudly since 2009 was awarded "Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant" ( "Living Heritage Company")
The Outlet store is opened from Monday to Friday 9am to 11.45am and 2pm to 5.45pm - Saturdays 9am to 5.45 pm.
Also exceptionally open on Sundays 7th,14th and 21st of December from 2pm to 6.30 p.m.
Stork and otter re-introduction centre
Created in 1976 in the heart of old Marshy areas in Hunawihr this reintroduction center shelters over 150 Storks living freely all through the year.
You will be able to observe the otters playing, swimming or eating from under a glassed tunnel.

The Monkey Mountain
On the heights of KINTZHEIM (bas-Rhin 67) let yourself escape into the fascinating world of more than 200 Barbary macaques roaming free in 60 acres of beautiful forest.
You will be astonished to see how well you can observe the monkeys exhibiting their natural behaviour, and to see how close you can get to them.
The monkeys do not hesitate to take the popcorn (given to you at the entrance) out of your hand.
The guides are not only on the path to guarantee your safety as well as the monkeys’, they are also at your disposal to answer any questions and explain the monkeys’ behaviour you observe as you enjoy your visit
La Volerie des Aigles
Eagles are often feared and unknown. The “Volerie des Aigles”'s primary purpose was to restore the image of birds of prey to the public, allow them to reproduce in captivity and support actions for the conservation of biological diversity.
You will be given the unique opportunity to observe some of the finest and largest birds of prey in the world, flying just above your heads, in an impressive show where emotion is great and gives you the thrills. A place you cannot miss !
Open mainly afternoons through the year from the 1st April to the 11th November with 2 to 5 shows a day including weekends. Extended opening times from June to August
This fantastic theme park is in RUST, Germany, less than 1 hour from the Hotel. Opened in 1975 by the MACK family it is now one of the biggest theme park in the world with no less than 94 hectares dedicated to 55 rides (for all ages) including 11 roller coasters and spread through 13 European themed areas with typical national architecture.
Still too little known in France, Europa-Park welcomed in September 2014, visitor number 100 millionth through its doors. At virtually the same time was also Europe’s first theme park to be named “Best Amusement Park in the World” at the 2014 Golden Ticket Awards.

L’Ecomusée The Heritage Museum
Nearby the village of Ungersheim (68 Haut Rhin) is an open air village turned into a living Museum with typically furnished, traditional Alsatian buildings named “Ecomusée”.
Authentic houses, dismantled bit by bit from their original villages where they were going to be destroyed, were reassembled to create this real life Museum with a town hall, a school, a hairdresser's, shops and more, taking you back in time.
Throughout your visit you will bump into actors dressed in traditional costumes playing roles of craftsmen and demonstrating their day to day activities from the early nineteenth century in Alsace, with blacksmith, cart-wright, cooper, baker ...
Le Parc du Petit Prince
Two air balloons will take you up to 150 meters high to enjoy a panoramic view over the Vosges and the Black Forest. Thirsty ? find the Aerobar ! a unique refreshment-attraction-bar. Fasten your seatbelt as you will go 35 meters high to enjoy a drink with feet

The Lac Blanc Adventure park
In the heart of the “Massif des Vosges” at over 1000 meters High you will have fun going through Nine courses with growing difficulties that will take you higher and higher until fir top. If you're a thrill seeker you can't miss it or why not try paintball !
